If you need to see a GP at these times, please call direct on 0333 321 2084.
** We now operate a text reminder service for appointments and other notifications- please ensure we have your correct mobile number. If you do not wish to receive text messages please inform reception **
** Register for online services - make appointments, request repeat prescriptions and view your medical record online - sign up and register at reception - photo ID needed **
Repeat prescriptions must be requested on the pre-printed form attached to your last prescription or online ( need to register)
If you nominate a pharmacy to dispense your prescription it can be sent electronically to them to save you a trip to the surgery.
Alternatively please hand this to the receptionist or send it by post. A stamped addressed envelope can be attached if you would like us to post your new prescription to you. The new prescription will be ready to collect or post within 2 working days of receipt.
We do not accept prescription requests by phone, fax or handwritten letter. Some local chemists organise the collection and delivery of repeat prescriptions, please contact them for details.
It is useful to take your repeat prescription form to all hospital outpatient appointments.
Patients on repeat medication will be asked to see either a doctor, nurse practitioner or practice nurse at least once a year to review these regular medications.
Please allow two full working days between requesting and collecting your medication.
How to reduce waste
Extensive exemption and remission arrangements protect those likely to have difficulty in paying charges (NHS prescription and dental charges, optical and hospital travel costs). Prescription prepayment certificates (PPCs) offer real savings for people who need extensive medication.
These charges apply in England only. In Northern Ireland, Scotland and Wales prescriptions are free of charge.
If you will have to pay for four or more prescription items in three months, or more than 14 items in 12 months, you may find it cheaper to buy a PPC.
There is further information about prescription exemptions and fees on the NHS website
Please allow 48 hours, excluding weekends and Bank Holidays, for your request to be processed. Any problems please telephone the surgery.
